REGULAR MEETING
Mayor Steve Stiles called the meeting to order.
Council members present were Colby Baumgarn and Ted Pursley. Darin Ray was reached by speaker phone.
Staff Present: Wendy Kleinsasser, Town Clerk, Tim LaBuda, PWD and Larry Geyer, PW
Public: Michele Turville, BPD, Dennis Hale, CCSO, Clete Ophus
Approval of Meeting Minutes: Colby Baumgarn moved to approve the minutes from the August meeting; Ted Pursley seconded, motion passed.
Public Comments: None
Sheriff Report: Deputy Hale spoke with the Council about closing the street on Halloween from east of the Diamond 4 U club to the end of the block for a Trunk or Treat Event. Patty Pegar will be coming before the council in October, but Dennis wanted them to know the SO doesn’t have any issue with it.
New Water Project: Michele Turville of BPD brought printouts of various water rate structures using EDUs and went over things with the council. She also brought a resolution from TSEP and one from Bear Paw confirming the town’s participation with the organization. Darin Ray was reached via phone and the Resolutions were passed:
Resolution 2018-09 (TSEP): Colby Baumgarn moved to approve; Ted Pursley seconded and it passed unanimously
Resolution 2018-10 (BPD): Ted Pursley moved to approve; Darin Ray seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Bear Paw Development/Brownfield Project: No action.
New Business
Ordinance 2018-01 passed, second hearing.
Colby Baumgarn moved to approve signing the Memo of Understanding with MDT re: rest area. Ted Purlsey seconded, motion passed.
Hours for new position was tabled.
Old Business
Charge for Inactive/Vacant properties connected to water and sewer system: Discussion, no action
Ditch and road plans: Discussion. No action

Claims: Colby Baumgarn moved to accept the claims, pending the arrival of the TTC and NWE bills. Darin Ray seconded; motion passed.
General Journal Voucher. Colby Baumgarn moved to approve JV 2018-02. Ted Pursley seconded, motion passed.
