REGULAR MEETING
Mayor Steve Stiles called the meeting to order.
Council members present were Colby Baumgarn, Shaud Schwarzbach, Ted Pursley and
Darin Ray.
Staff Present: Wendy Kleinsasser, Town Clerk and Tim LaBuda, PWD, Leslie Gregory, pool manager
Public: Connie Reichelt, Mark Reichelt
Approval of Meeting Minutes: Ted Pursley moved to approve the minutes from the May meeting. Colby Baumgarn seconded, motion passed.
Public Comments: None
Sheriff Report: None
Pool Report: Both Leslie Gregory and Connie Reichelt reported on the pool. They have ideas to raise funds to defray some of the operating costs. Leslie suggested that the town look into purchasing a portable handicap ramp. Possibly, a Lippard-Clawiter Grant could be used for this..
New Water Project: Mayor Stiles reported on the conference call Tuesday with RD, TSEP, KLJ and that the package they are offering must be signed by August 4. A special meeting will be set up to approve the action.
Bear Paw Development/Brownfield Project: No action.
New Business
Airport Board: Mark Reichelt explained to the council what the maps were that the board wanted them to sign. Most are for the future. Current projects include runway lights, new beacon and windsock. Ted Pursley moved that the mayor sign the plans; Darin Ray seconded. Motion passed.
Noxious weed ordinance: Tabled until the town attorney and town judge can give opinions.
Old Business
Charge for Inactive/Vacant properties connected to water and sewer system: Discussion, no action
Ditch and road plans: Discussion about possibly renting an asphalt zipper and redoing the paved streets. No action
Road repair near grade school: Begin cleaning up the old broken pavement and start bringing in base gravel.
Committee Reports: None
Mayor Report: Mayor Stiles gave an update on the speed signs and said that someone is interested in purchasing an old mower that the town doesn’t use any more
Public Works:. PWD LaBuda updated the council on the pivot and problems with the aerators.
• The shut off list was distributed
• The correspondence was distributed.
Claims: Shaud Schwarbach moved to accept the claims. Colby Baumgarn seconded; motion passed.
General Journal Voucher. Colby Baumgarn moved to approve JV 2017-12. Ted Pursley seconded, motion passed.
Any Business to be brought before the Council: None
The next regular meeting will be held August 10.
