REGULAR MEETING
Mayor Steve Stiles called the meeting to order.
Council members present were Colby Baumgarn, Shaud Schwarzbach, Ted Pursley and
Darin Ray.
Staff Present: Wendy Kleinsasser, Town Clerk and Tim LaBuda, PWD
Public: None
Approval of Meeting Minutes: Colby Baumgarn moved to approve the minutes from the January meeting. Shaud Schwarzbach seconded, motion passed.
Public Comments: None
Hilary Page/Website: No action.
Sheriff Report: None
New Water Project: Nothing from Rural Development yet. A conference call with TSEP et al is scheduled for May 23.
New Pool: Work will continue on the interlocal agreement between the school and the town. There is a joint town/school meeting on May 18th.
Bear Paw Development/Brownfield Project: John Siebrasse will take the dirt to be farmed.
New Business
Men’s Health Proclamation: Tabled
Road repair near grade school: Mayor Stiles made some suggestions as to how to divert the water from the area. Discussion.
LaBuda Sewer repair: After all the bills were in the cost was around $3000.00.
Employee pay: A twenty five cent an hour raise was approved for Rod Brown. Ted Pursley made the motion and Shaud Schwarzbach seconded
Pool wish list: Colby Baumgarn moved to approve the requests. Shaud Schwarzbach seconded and will donate a small refrigerator. Motion passed.
Old Business
Charge for Inactive/Vacant properties connected to water and sewer system: Discussion, no action
Ditch and road plans: No action
Bobcat: The lease agreement was signed by Mayor Stiles. This agreement had been moved and seconded on April 11, 2017, at a special meeting.
Committee Reports: None
Mayor Report: Mayor Stiles attended a meeting with the DNRC and landowners Ophus, Chauvet and IX Ranch. No action was taken.
Public Works:. PWD reported that the lagoon is filling.
Clerk Reports:
* The shut off list was distributed
* The correspondence was distributed.
Claims: Ted Pursley moved to accept the claims. Darin Ray seconded; motion passed
General Journal Voucher. Colby Baumgarn moved to approve JV 2017-010. Darin Ray seconded, motion passed.
Any Business to be brought before the Council: It was suggested that the town hire Eric Schwarzbach for a couple of weeks to do some road work.
The next regular meeting will be held June 8.
Ted Pursley moved to adjourn, Darin Ray seconded; motion passed.
