Mayor Schwarzbach called the meeting to order.
Council members present Rich Jespersen, Jon Sheehy, Darin Ray and Colby Baumgarn.
Staff Present: Larry Geyer, PW, Wendy Kleinsasser, clerk,
Public: Samantha Chagnon, BPD.
Approval of Meeting Minutes: Colby Baumgarn moved to approve the minutes from both the February 20 and February 27 meetings. Rich Jespersen seconded; motion passed.
Sheriff’s Report None.
Public Comment: None
Pivot: A motion to hire 406 Agronomy was made by Joh Sheehy and seconded by Darin Ray. There will be a meeting March 17 at 7 p.m. for further discussion with Shane Chauvet.
KLJ: No one from KLJ was in attendance.
Bear Paw Development:
Walking Trail: The grant application to RTP (Recreational Trail Program) has been submitted. No awards have been given as yet.
CIP: Samantha Chagnon from Bear Paw Development went through the updated mini CIP with the council. A public hearing will be held April 2, followed by a second public hearing on the Storm Drain PER. She recommended that the town consider having a full blown CIP done in the near future, as well as an updated Growth Policy.
New Business
Tree bid for park: a decision was postponed until the next meeting. The clerk will contact Field Tree Service for a bid on all of the parks.
The bank paper work was signed.
Committee assignments: Law Enforcement – Colby Baumgarn. Streets – Darin Ray.
Parks and pool – Rich Jespersen. Water and Sewer: Jon Sheehy. Colby will remain as council president. Rich Jespersen moved that the assignments be approved. Darin Ray seconded; motion carried.
Old Business
Water Ordinance: The clerk is still getting information.
Homecoming: No action.
Committee Reports: None
Mayor Report: None
Public Works: The Rest Area is now open. Larry Geyer requested permission to purchase new lids for the garbage cans. His request was approved.
Clerk:
* The shut off list was distributed
* The correspondence was distributed.
Claims: Colby Baumgarn moved to accept the claims. Rich Jespersen seconded and the motion passed.
General Journal Voucher: Colby Baumgarn moved to approve JV 2020-08, Jon Sheehy seconded; motion passed.
Any Business to be brought before the Council: There was discussion about streets. This will be added to the April agenda. The council will meet in regular session on April 8.
