REGULAR MEETING
Councilperson Shaud Schwarzbach called the meeting to order.
Council members present were Shaud Schwarzbach, Fred Watstein and Ted Pursley. Absent were Mayor Stiles and Colby Baumgarn
Staff Present: Wendy Kleinsasser, Town Clerk, Tim LaBuda
Public: Hilary Page, Dennis Hale
Approval of Meeting Minutes: Ted Pursley moved to approve the minutes from the October meeting. Fred Watstein seconded, motion passes.
Public Comments: None
Hilary Page/Website: Ms. Page updated the council on her progress with the web page.
Sheriff Report: Deputy Hale gave a brief report regarding a couple of incidents recently.
New Water Project: No news.
New Pool: At this time things are still in the exploratory stages.
Bear Paw Development/Brownfield Project: No action
New Business
MDT MOU: Ted Pursley moved that Mayor Stiles be given authorization to sign the Memo of Understanding with MDT regarding funding for the Rest Area. Fred Watstein seconded, motion passed.
Employee Compensation Rules: Fred Watstein moved that the council approve in new employee compensation rules for salaried employees and joining MMIA to provide health insurance. Ted Pursley seconded, motion passed. The Town will pay a portion of the premiums for both the PWD and the Town Clerk. A later meeting will be held to pass the necessary resolution for MMIA.
Old Business
Street repairs: Public Works has been graveling all of the streets in town and is working now to crown the gravel and fill in corners.
Charge for Inactive/Vacant properties connected to water and sewer system: No action
Ditch and road plans: No action
Source Water report: The report is not finished. Tabled until further notice.
Committee Reports: None.
Mayor Report: None
Public Works: PWD will take the old grader to be sold at the Ophus Consignment Auction.
Clerk Reports:
* The shut off list was distributed
* The correspondence was distributed.
Claims: Fred Watstein moved to approve the claims and Ted Pursley seconded; motion passed.
General Journal Voucher. Ted Pursley moved to approve JV 2017-04. Fred Watstein
