Work Session, Special Meeting
Mayor Schwarzbach called the meeting to order.
Council members present were Jon Sheehy, Krystyl Kulbeck, Rich Jespersen and Blaine Ophus.
Staff present was Wendy Kleinsasser, Clerk.
1. Bear Paw Development Resolution 2025-01: Rich Jespersen moved to pass the resolution. Krystyl Kulbeck seconded and the motion passed unanimously on a roll call vote.
2. Community Decay Update: Rich Jespersen reported on the latest updates and it was decided that the Council would continue to pursue these matters. Blaine Ophus suggested that the town should look into a bed tax.
3. Claim 9173: Krystyl Kulbeck moved to approve claim 9173. Blaine Ophus seconded; motion passed.
4. Set budget hearing date: Jon Sheehy moved that the budget hearing will be held at 6:30 on September 5, 2024. Blaine Ophus seconded and the motion passed.
5. Audit: The Council discussed the recent audit and Krystyl Kulbeck moved to reply to the state regarding the findings and to request that our contract with DD&A be terminated,
6. Budget Work Session: The budget was reviewed and some changes need to be made prior to the Budget Hearing.
Rich Jespersen moved to adjourn; Jon Sheehy seconded and the motion passed.
