GRANT AWARDED TO IMPROVE TOWN OF BIG SANDY CITY HALL
The Town of Big Sandy has been awarded a grant to make improvements to city hall.
This funding would be to bring the Jerry Martin Memorial City Hall up to code by creating ADA accessible restrooms, replacing all exterior doors with doors that open outward, making the building safer in the event of an emergency, as well as other updates to the building.
This funding was made available through the Department of Commerce and is called the State-Local Infrastructure Partnership Act – HB 355.
Work is slated to begin mid February.
